My father ran a denim factory in Delhi for 20 years.

I graduated and swore I'd never join. Took a job at TCS. Safe salary. Predictable life. I lasted a year and a half.

Not because the job was bad. Because I sat in meetings with men 20 years older than me, earning double my salary, and thought — this is the ceiling?

Meanwhile, my father was running the factory alone. I could chase a career or I could go back. I went back.

Within 6 months, I knew denims weren't it. There was no room for creativity — just price wars and credit lines. The only way to sell more was to trust people I couldn't trust.

I wanted to make something where the product could actually speak for itself. So I started tshirts from zero. Everyone said I was crazy. "Your father has 20 years in denims. Why start from scratch?"

8 years later, my brother and I have converted the entire factory. 69 machines. 3,000 pieces a day. He runs the production floor. I handle everything else.

But none of it felt like ours.
